			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Food cravings can wreck havoc on just about everyone&#8217;s diet. Cravings for carbs can result from low blood sugar or a diet too low in calories. Most everyone who has attempted to lose weight has run into the &#8220;cravings wall&#8221;.</p>
<p>So what is one to do?</p>
<p>Sometimes (not always!), giving into a craving is a better solution than running from it. If you crave ice cream, have a scoop (not a bowl). There are foods you enjoyed for much of your life, going cold turkey, is difficult. Instead, relearn eating habits. Enjoy your cravings, with just a little taste. Keep your portion size small.</p>
<p>Emotions can affect food cravings. Low mood or feeling tired can mean low serotonin. This leads to sugar and/or carbohydrate cravings. So called comfort food cravings are often really just stress signals misinterpreted. Consider identifying your stressor and deal with it in a healthy way. Journal, go for a walk, and talking it out are positive means of reducing stress.</p>
<p>Eating high quality foods such as fruits and vegetables can help stave off food cravings. Some find that when their diet is rich in fruits and veggies, they actually start to crave those over sugar &#038; carbs.</p>
<p>It is believed that certain cravings mean our body is lacking in certain nutrients, researchers both agree and disagree in most cases.</p>
<p>There is a difference between craving and addiction. Food addiction, like any addiction, is a serious problem and should be treated by a physician and/or dietitian as soon as it&#8217;s identified.</p>
<p>Cravings for pregnant women are completely different than regular every day food cravings that dieters may experience and no clinical or actual cause has been found for cravings of pregnant women.</p>

<p><strong>Lactic acid </strong>which can assist in disinfecting your colon.</p>
<p><strong>Vitamin C</strong> which many believe helps your cells to burn fat.</p>
<p><strong>Vitamin A </strong>for good eye health.</p>
<p><strong>Phytonutrients </strong>which help protect you from free radicals that can damage your cells walls and are named suspects for causing cancer.</p>
<p><strong>Vitamin E</strong>, which helps your skin glow and stay healthy. This anti-oxidant, when mixed with honey and dabbed on the face, can even keep wrinkles ot a minimum. It only takes 30ml cabbage juice left on those wrinkles for 20 minutes, morning and evening.</p>
<p>If you like red cabbage you get something extra. It contains an antioxidant called <strong>anthocyanin</strong>, which is the ingredient behind the red colour.
